About Me:  I spent most of my childhood in Danville, IL which is a small town on the Illinois/Indiana border.  Upon graduating from college I lived in various states from NM, to ME to GA  and finally my family and I officially transplanted and established roots in Fort Collins in 2007.  My fun-loving 18 year old son loves to keep me on my toes and brings me great joy.  He is currently a Freshman at CU-Boulder.  We also have 2 energetic pups that ensure we go on daily walks/hikes.

What I Love About Education: From a young age I knew I wanted to be educator.  After spending 15 years as a classroom teacher I spiced up my life and made the transition from teacher to  middle school counselor and I LOVE IT!  Making connections with students and families brings joy to my heart.  Providing students with tools on how to be their best selves if amazing.  I enjoy getting to know students and providing them a safe place and a smiling face every day.

Favorite Books: I have always been an avid reader.  Historical fiction is my current favorite genre, although I will read or listen to just about anything.  My favorite is when students recommend books for me to read.  So if you have a good one, please send the title my way!

Interests & Hobbies: Traveling, running, biking, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, camping, name it!  I love spending time outdoors with my son and going on adventures from road trips to scavenger hunts around town.  My heart is full when I'm exploring the world around me with the people and animals I love.
