The identification process in Poudre School District uses a “body of evidence” for students being considered for gifted education services.
The Body of Evidence consists of the following categories:
Achievement Scores:
- CSAP, MAP, CMAS, PARCC
Intellectual Ability Scores:
- Cognitive Abilities Test (cogAT)
Behavior Characteristics:
- Scales for Identifying Gifted and Talented (SIGS)
Performance:
- Portfolios, Grades, Juried Exhibitions
Other Assessment:
- Torrence Test of Creative Thinking
