School Accountability Committee (SAC)

The Preston School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a great opportunity for Preston parents/guardians, community members, and staff to collaborate, engage in rich discussions, advise, and make recommendations to Preston’s building leader, Amy Schmer. The SAC makes recommendations to the principal on the school priorities for spending school moneys, and assessing and prioritizing needs. In addition, the SAC discusses school progress and the school unified improvement plan. The SAC meets quarterly and one member of the Preston SAC serves as the Preston representative for the District Advisory Board. This committee is in need of several volunteers for the 2020-21 school year. All parents are welcome to join our SAC team.

For the first semester we plan to host all SAC Meetings virtually. We will revisit the possibility of in-person SAC meetings prior to the second semester. SAC meetings are 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you are interested in joining a SAC meeting please email our Office Manager, Monica Reed, at mrutherf@psdschools.org. Once you send an email indicating you are interested in joining, a link to the virtual meeting will be shared with you.  All parents/guardians are welcome to join our SAC team.
