Biographical Sketch:
I am a native of Wyoming but have spent more time living in Colorado and loving Fort Collins. I have two sons who are former Pumas. Both of my sons are musicians and my oldest son is a music teacher.
Education Background
I earned an A.A. in Fine Arts from Casper College, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wyoming and a Masters in Music Education from Colorado State University. I have taught all ages from pre-school to the college level. With experience teaching at all these levels, I can truly say that middle school is by far my favorite level to teach. I am the Assistant Director of the Larimer Chorale (an adult community choir here in Fort Collins) and direct the Chancel Choir at a local church. I have 28 years of experience in the choral classroom. I continue to sing in choirs and do solo singing whenever possible. Preston Choirs have been chosen several times to sing at the Colorado Music Educator Clinic/Conference under my direction.
Why I enjoy teaching?
There is nothing better than helping my students learn and grow as musicians. i am so exited to see students develop into accomplished musicians, performers and confident people.
Favorite Books:
Little Women and Beethoven's Hair
Interests & Hobbies:
When I'm not singing or learning new choral literature, I love to garden, read and travel.

About my classroom:
The choir classroom is a welcoming, safe place to sing where we all develop "Habits of Mind" for musicians. We learn a lot, laugh a lot, and make great music together.
