If it is necessary for you to take your student during the school day, please follow the early dismissal procedure outlined below:

  • Send your student to school with a note requesting the specific time that you would like him/her to meet you in the front office.
  • Have your student drop this note by the main office first thing in the morning in exchange for an early dismissal pass.
  • Have your student give this early dismissal pass to the teacher they have during the period that they will be leaving school. Your student may need to remind their teacher when it is time for them to be dismissed from class.
  • Meet and sign your student out in th main office at your requested dismissal time.

Volunteering at Preston:

To Volunteer for any field trips and other activities, please register with PSD HERE. There is no need to register every year, but please log in each year and update your personal information, and schools where you are currently volunteering.

Each morning, the Main Office uses a volunteer from 7:15-8:15am to assist students and parents with late passes, bus passes, dropped off items, etc.  We are compiling a list of people to serve as substitutes if the weekly office volunteers cannot make it.  Substitutes will be contacted on an as needed basis.  We are looking for 3 substitutes each day in hopes 1 will be available on short notice.  Please feel free to sign up for multiple days to sub, and as indicated in the sign-up, please email your preferred contact information to prestonvolunteers@gmail.com so it can be confidentially provided to the office staff.    Please contact the Main Office with questions:  pumaoffice@psdschools.org
