About Me
Profile Text 1:
This will be my ninth year of counseling and teaching at Preston. I began my career as a High School English Teacher and have moved into Counseling at Preston and love it. Preston is such a great place to work; the staff is passionate and kids feel it. As for me, this year I was lucky to coach Girl's Golf. We are going to take Districts this year, I can feel it! We have such an amazing group of kids who are already fantastic golfers!
Profile Text 2:
I am a Colorado native and graduated from CSU with an English degree; I then completed my masters in Counseling from Lesley University. I am lucky to be surrounded by many educators as both my grandmothers, and mom taught. As for my immediate family, my husband and I have three special daughters who keep us very busy!! One in 7th grade and two at Univ. of CO. They' re super special and we love to spend time together. We enjoy outdoor activities in the mountains such as camping, boating, and fishing. When the opportunity arises for travel, we LOVE to explore the world. Also, a good book, writing, chocolate, and great movies are other favorites. We also love to watch the Broncos and Rockies and a LOT of Fort Collins soccer.

Counseling at Preston has allowed me to feel like I can make a difference for many students who may not be connected with school. Additionally I enjoy the opportunity to work with parents to bridge communication or problem solve. Daily tasks for the counseling department are so diverse that it would be tough to describe what a day might look like. The best part of our work is learning from the students—they are brilliant and super funny. No matter what we are doing, we all love working with your students immensely and hope they feel safe and comfortable here! Thank you for allowing us to work with your kids!

Diversity Club is a group that I get to lead-- all students are welcome to attend to discuss ways to make Preston more inclusive.  We share cultural ideas as well as explore the world's diversity through field trips.
